Meet Kyra

Hey there! It’s me, Kyra! (pronounced “Keer-Rah”. Just think of “cheer” and “rah” because I’m always cheering you on!!) I am the owner and lead floral designer of B. June Floral Design!

I live in Chesterfield, VA with my long-time boyfriend, my son, and our 2 dogs who I lovingly refer to as my “shop dogs” because they often find their way into my garage floral studio attached to our house! And I wouldn’t have it any other way!

I opened my floral design business in 2019 and I absolutely love bringing smiles to so many faces through beautiful flowers! I love how flowers make you feel! I am passionate about local flowers and enjoy experimenting with new methods of design. I am unabashedly drawn to color and adore balancing interesting palettes with innovative textures.

Not only do I want to bring all your wedding floral dreams and visions to life, I also want to be your friend throughout the whole process. I believe that trust is a huge element to our relationship so I want you to trust me implicitly to carry out your wedding vision! I get really sad when your event is over, so please let’s be friends on Instagram and stay in touch forever!

When I’m not in my studio, I can be found hanging out with my family, petting every dog I see, scurrying down to OBX or up to PA, dreaming of all the places I want to travel to, watching all the reality tv on Bravo, and drinking coffee!

She consulted with me directly and totally understood my vision for soft victorian-style ambiance at our downtown Richmond venue. She made really fun bracelet cuffs for my ladies and all of the flowers and arrangements were magical! I requested bud vases, candles and greenery on the mantle and she did the rest! I loved the colors and flowers she chose. She always arrived on time for meetings, was very responsive via email, and her contract was very clear and professional.

I wish there was another star for B. June Floral Design! Owner Kyra Tanner was so attentive from the very start of the vision process to the stunning execution of my daughter’s wedding florals. The bridal bouquet, the bridesmaid flowers, boutonnières, bridal arch and chandeliers were all unique, airy and natural, just what my daughter requested. Kyra met with me a number of times, visited the venue and even looked at my own yard for clippings in an effort to meet our expectations while also staying within our budget. Working with Kyra was so easy and fun, my only regret is that I don’t have another wedding to plan so I could continue to meet with Kyra. She is professional, responsive, extremely talented and a delight to work with from start to finish.

Meet the Shop Dogs:

Kizer and Hershey! These two are mixed with so many breeds that they are considered “Super Mutts”! And they are 100% loveable. They love to saunter into the garage floral studio to smell all the flowers (quality control!) or to lay on the cool concrete floor and keep mom company! They are the heart and soul behind this business and will love you forever if you give them a treat!

I wish they could come to every event with me, but since they can’t, my very favorite thing is when a couple incorporates their pups into their wedding day! It melts me every time!
